In the small city of Sderot, a story of hope and resilience unfolds among the elderly facing daily challenges. Amidst economic hardships and the constant looming fear in the region bordering Gaza, adult diapers become a vital necessity, yet their high cost renders them unattainable for many. However, in this conflict-affected land, our ministry of City Of Life has extended a loving and compassionate hand to those who need it most.

Tabah, an 85-year-old Holocaust survivor, has found solace amidst adversity through the assistance provided by City Of Life as three years ago, after 63 years of marriage, Tabah became a widow, plunging her into profound grief. Nevertheless, her inner strength and determination have led her to face life with courage and although her daughter stands by her side, providing care and support, economic difficulties have added an extra burden to her frail shoulders.

City Of Life has been a beacon of hope in Tabah’s life, as well as in the lives of many other elderly individuals in need and thanks to the dedication and tireless efforts of the ministry, Tabah has received adult diapers, sanitary towels, food baskets, and vouchers, alleviating her burdens and providing a renewed sense of dignity and well-being.

Each weekly delivery of adult diapers is a tangible display of City Of Life’s love and commitment to the elderly in Sderot and gratitude shines in the eyes of Tabah and other beneficiaries as they receive these essential products. For them, each diaper represents careful attention, an expression of respect, and a reminder that they are not alone in their daily struggles.

Tabah, with a smile filled with happiness, has shared how the assistance provided by City Of Life has made a significant difference in her life as she not only feels relieved from the financial burden associated with the cost of adult diapers, but she also experiences a renewed sense of love and connection with our community.

Tabah’s story is just one of the many heartfelt narratives woven through the efforts of City Of Life. The elderly in Sderot and its surrounding areas have found in this ministry a beacon of hope in dark times and a constant reminder that they are loved and valued.

The boundless gratitude expressed by the elderly towards City Of Life serves as a testimony to the profound impact it has on their lives. Every delivered diaper, every shared food basket, and every act of love and compassion provide comfort and hope in times of uncertainty and loneliness.

City Of Life’s work goes beyond the provision of adult diapers; it also express the love of the God of Israel in a sense of community among the elderly in need. Through home visits and activities at our center, the ministry creates a space where the elderly feel valued and loved, finding in it a sanctuary of hope and care.

Every week, numerous elderly individuals in the region benefit from the distributions of adult diapers and other essential services. These actions not only alleviate the financial burden for those in need but also provide them with the opportunity to lead a dignified life, where they can enjoy their autonomy and maintain their self-esteem intact.

We invite all generous hearts to join City Of Life in their mission to bring comfort, hope, and dignity to the elderly in Sderot and the region bordering Gaza. Together, we can reach out our hands and open our hearts to ensure that no elderly individual feels neglected or abandoned in their most vulnerable moments.

With each act of kindness, we are helping the elderly so they can enjoy their golden years with the dignity and respect they deserve. Let us not miss the opportunity to make a difference and bring light to those who need it most on their journey towards hope and happiness.

You can be part of and impact the lives of more people who need help in our city and together show them the way, the truth and the life.

We invite you to be part of our ministry so that together we can bring hope to our border town of Sderot.

Our work would not be possible without the help of partners like you, so we ask you to consider in prayer the possibility of a monthly commitment that will allow us to continue with the Lord’s work here in Israel.

Sincerely yours
