The rise of the state of Israel as a nation and its achievements thus far would not have been possible without the brave members of the Israel Defense Forces who keep the country protected from the constant threat of our enemies.
But even before the Jewish people could re-establish themselves in their ancestral land, there were brave Jews who fought for justice and against Jewish extermination, as is the case with those European Jews who had the courage to join in the fight against Nazi Germany led by Hitler and effectively contributed to the victory and liberation of so many cities and concentration camps by rescuing those lucky ones who managed to survive the desolation and cruelty of the Holocaust.
Our City Of Life ministry supports and honors these ex-military heroes who gave everything to try to save their people and we offer them all the necessary help so that in their advanced age they can feel appreciated and loved in the dream land of their ancestors, Israel.
Nathan, 97 years old
Natan, being very young, joined the Soviet Army in the fight against the Nazis, becoming commander of the infantry squad, demonstrating his bravery and courage, he fought hard even after being wounded in combat, he recovered and returned to the battlefield belonging to the battalion that was going to the front on its way to Germany, freeing many of the survivors of the holocaust.
Years later he fulfilled his dream of being able to “return” to Israel, the promised place for the Jewish people and settle in Sderot where today he spends his days surrounded by his military medals in his humble home.

On each of our visits, Natan delights in sharing with our team his passionate stories about those years of struggle. He can’t help but shed a few tears as he remembers so many family and friends who lost their lives.
But through it all, he’s proud of where we’ve come as a nation.
Gideon, 98 years old
Gideon still remembers the good relations between the Jews and Muslims in his town in Chechnya when the war began. An intrepid and very brave young Gideon did not hesitate to enlist in the Soviet army upon learning of the extermination to which the Jews were being subjected throughout Europe and was sent to the front in combat where he was seriously wounded but did not surrender, a few days after his recovery was already back in enemy territory liberating cities from the Nazi siege, thus reaching Germany with his platoon.

Gideon sees with hope how the prophesied state of Israel is created and his desire grows to be able one day to be part of this nation, the nation of the Jewish people, his people.
Years later his dream comes true, of being able to live in Israel and bring his family, where he finds his place in the troubled Sderot where our team is attentive to his needs and provides psychological and affectionate support, making him feel that we care and showing him the love of the Messiah at every moment.
Ishaiah, 99
Ishaiah saw how the situation deteriorated throughout the region as German forces aggressively conquered the cities and after learning of the atrocities perpetrated on the Jewish people he immediately enlisted in the Soviet Army with the aim of helping his people.
However, the clashes were very hard and being at the forefront of the war, Ishaiah was tragically injured, losing one of his hands.
However he was not discouraged and after recovering he returned to the army serving in the communications division where he specialized and was of great help in the victory later.
Ishaiah was also a writer, publishing many notes during the war where he encouraged and inspired the soldiers to go forward against the oppressive forces.

After the great work in the army and seeing how the new Jewish state was born “in one day” as prophesied, Ishaiah knew that this was the place where he belonged, and so years later he was able to fulfill his dream and settle in Israel and Although it was not easy, Ishaiah is happy and always has a grateful heart for our help and support, the love and understanding that our team shows him is supernatural and makes his last years happy, filling him with joy.
Our role as the body of the Messiah is to bring hope to this lost world and illuminate in times of darkness creating an impact on society, so our ministry is committed to reaching as many people as possible who suffer during these festivities, who many of them depend on our commitment and dedication for the work of the Lord.
You too can bless them and be part of this commitment of obedience to the Lord with us by joining in our goal as there are still many families to reach with the help and together we can achieve it.
You can be part of and impact the lives of more people who need help in our city and together show them the way, the truth and the life.
We invite you to be part of our ministry so that together we can bring hope to our border town of Sderot.
Our work would not be possible without the help of partners like you, that is why we ask you to consider in prayer the possibility of a monthly commitment that will allow us to continue with the Lord’s work here in Israel.

Sincerely yours
