While Israel is known for its warm climate, the arrival of winter brings unexpected challenges to many families. The temperature plummets rapidly, and the biting cold becomes a harsh reality, especially for those who lack proper heating solutions. In a country where winter is often overlooked, the sudden drop in temperature becomes a significant concern for vulnerable households.
The challenge is particularly pronounced in homes with poor thermal insulation, where the cold seeps in, making nights uncomfortable and even unbearable. Many families find themselves without adequate heating, turning their nights into a struggle against the cold. The harsh winter conditions pose a genuine threat to the well-being of individuals and families who lack the means to stay warm during the colder months.
Bringing Hope and Warmth to Israel
As winter descends upon Israel, the “City of Life” team is mobilizing to extend crucial support to families grappling with the biting cold in Sderot and the surrounding regions, including the displaced families in Shoresh near Jerusalem. Recognizing the escalating challenges posed by the winter chill each year, our focus is on assisting families in navigating the harsh weather conditions.
The inadequate thermal insulation in many homes, particularly those occupied by families in need, compounds the difficulties. These residences, often lacking proper heating solutions, underscore the urgent need to provide alternative means to ensure warmth and comfort during the winter.
Tragically, a significant number of these families lack the financial resources to acquire heaters, intensifying their vulnerability. In response to this pressing need, our team is launching an extensive distribution initiative, aiming to provide radiator heaters to as many families as possible. The objective is clear – to bring warmth and relief to households in Shoresh, Sderot, and Ofakim, leaving no family exposed to the winter cold without the necessary means for warmth and safety.

Building on the success of last year’s efforts, where over 100 families in Sderot and neighboring towns were blessed with radiator heaters, our team is once again gearing up for a significant outreach this winter. The aim is to reach, and potentially exceed, that number.
With a target to help at least 100 families in need, we invite you to join us in this meaningful endeavor. Your contribution of US$100 per radiator heater can make a substantial difference in providing warmth to households facing the harsh winter conditions. Click below to support our winter project and extend a helping hand to those in need.
Thanks for being part of this effort. Your support and kindness are helping us make a big impact in the lives of those who need it most.
You can be part of and impact the lives of more people who need help in our city and together show them the way, the truth and the life.
We invite you to be part of our ministry so that together we can bring hope to our border town of Sderot.
Our work would not be possible without the help of partners like you, so we ask you to consider in prayer the possibility of a monthly commitment that will allow us to continue with the Lord’s work here in Israel.

Sincerely yours
