Definitely, life in our city Sderot and this region of Israel is especially difficult because of the terrorism to which the population is subjected daily, sirens that announce that missiles have been fired at the city again, arriving in 15 seconds, and the need to run to the shelters.
This situation has wreaked havoc on the population and many are unemployed, with a lack of opportunities to get ahead, in addition to having developed psychological disorders such as anxiety, stress, and post-traumatic syndrome as a consequence.
The social assistance provided by the indebted city council is not enough to cover the large number of the population that urgently needs it and many people feel abandoned to their fate, with no one to listen or understand them.
This is the case of Adah, a disabled single mother with serious physical and psychological problems who lives with her only son who also suffers from psychological disorders, whom our social outreach center has been helping for a long time, providing them with food baskets, supermarket vouchers and including them and different seasonal projects.
Unfortunately Adah has had to face a very hard life full of traumatic experiences which has left huge scars and the fact of living in this region has made her condition even worse.
But without a doubt, the most important help we provide to the suffering Adah is the therapeutic sessions where our professional team guided by the Spirit is dedicated to listening to her and providing psychological guidance, improving her well-being and bringing hope to her sad reality.
In one of her sessions Adah between tears expressed her gratitude to us
-“I am always very happy to be able to listen to you and talk
with you, because I have no one to support me mentally, someone who cares to know what I am feeling and experiencing because of the current situation in Sderot as well as all the problems I have.
Unfortunately I am in a very difficult situation and I am not able to walk, but it still calms me when you encourage me, pray for me and listen to me.“

Our “City Of Life” Social Outreach team works hard to ensure that broken families like this one can move on, get out of the bad situation they find themselves in and feel that there is hope again.
Like these families, there are many others who urgently need our help, so it is very important more than ever that you continue to pray for this project.
You can be part of and impact the lives of more people who need help in our city and together show them the way, the truth and the life.
We invite you to be part of our ministry so that together we can bring hope to our border town of Sderot.
Our work would not be possible without the help of partners like you, that is why we ask you to consider in prayer the possibility of a monthly commitment that will allow us to continue with the Lord’s work here in Israel.

Sincerely yours
Pastors
