In contrast to earlier optimism about a new era of peace and prosperity in the Middle East, fueled by Israel’s increasing acceptance in the region, the reality after nearly three months of war with Hamas paints a different picture.
The mobilization of 360,000 reservists and the evacuation of 250,000 Israelis from their homes, as reported by the Israeli military, have significantly disrupted businesses. Restaurants and shops stand empty, airlines have canceled most flights to Israel, and tourists have postponed their travels. A major natural gas field shut down operations, farms lie in ruins due to a lack of workers, and businesses have laid off tens of thousands of employees.
Israel’s ongoing mission to dismantle Hamas, the terror group governing the Gaza Strip, following their incursion on October 7th in southern Israel, resulting in the deaths of around 1,400 people and the abduction of 240 as hostages, adds to the economic challenges.
While Israel has rebounded from previous conflicts with Hamas, this round may last longer, potentially several more months, given the military’s daunting task of ending Hamas’s rule rather than merely containing its fighters.
Despite the challenges faced by cities like Sderot, Netivot, and Ofakim, our efforts are ramping up to support families that are going through tough times. We’re focusing on getting food to those who need it the most—a way to help right away and bring some hope into their lives.
Our dedicated team is working hard to bring essential food items to families that need them. It’s not just about giving groceries; it’s about sending a message that says, “We’re here for you during these tough times.”
We’re making sure to reach the people who need it most, especially the older folks who couldn’t leave and are still in their homes. Our plan is organized to cover important areas and reach as many families as we can.

This isn’t just a quick response to the problems; it’s a way of showing that we’re committed to helping these communities in the long run. Big thanks go out to everyone who’s helping and donating, making it possible to bring hope during hard times.
We’re not stopping here. Our goal is to keep supporting these communities, and we’re thankful for everyone who’s joined us in making a real difference.
Thanks for being part of this effort. Your support and kindness are helping us make a big impact in the lives of those who need it most.
You can be part of and impact the lives of more people who need help in our city and together show them the way, the truth and the life.
We invite you to be part of our ministry so that together we can bring hope to our border town of Sderot.
Our work would not be possible without the help of partners like you, so we ask you to consider in prayer the possibility of a monthly commitment that will allow us to continue with the Lord’s work here in Israel.

Sincerely yours
