Although it is true that Israel is a country with quite warm temperatures during most of the year, during winter temperatures can drop quite a bit, especially in non-coastal cities near the Negev desert like Sderot.
Cold desert winds blow over the region bringing temperatures down, especially at night.
For this reason, it is essential that the inhabitants of our cities have some type of heater to survive the long and cold winter nights.
However, due to the precarious economic and social situation experienced by many citizens of our region, caused after years of terrorist attacks, many families live in old apartments and do not have the necessary means to obtain some type of home heater.
For this reason, our “City of Life” team has been working to help, together with the support of charitable hearts like yours, the neediest families in Sderot by organizing a distribution of new heating radiators, many of which were delivered to the homes of families in need by our team just in time for this rainy and stormy season, such as the recent storm “Carmel” that caused heavy rains and cold winds.
Many families were fortunate enough to receive heaters on this occasion, including Holocaust survivors, widows, single mothers with children and new immigrants, among others, who expressed their gratitude and joy in knowing that they can count on our ministry in these current difficult times.
We remain sensitive to the needs of people, knowing that there are still families to reach with our help, we are organizing the obtaining of the second batch of 50 radiator heaters to meet the great demand that we experience right now and you can be part and bless these families with us.
