In Passover, one of the most important and joyous holidays of our people, it is remembered how the Lord took Israel out of slavery in Egypt, guiding it to the Promised Land and that emotion and joy among the people cannot be overshadowed by the difficult situation of terrorism in which we live, especially in these days where tensions have risen and the predictions of a new war are beginning to appear.
In our region, the incessant rocket attacks from Gaza and other forms of terrorism perpetrated by those who seek the annihilation of our people have weakened the economic and social situation and the most disadvantaged suffer serious psychological consequences because of this.
In our “City Of Life” ministry we have decided that it was time to bring hope and relief from the freedom of Passover to the hearts of the elderly of our city, who suffer terribly from the growing insecurity and instability of the region, through the music by organizing an incredible special concert of our much applauded and praised duet of professional violinists who delight with their talent the affected elderly residents among whom are widows and survivors of the holocaust, who with smile and emotion enjoyed classic Jewish songs loaded with cheerful traditional melodies.

After the exciting concert, our “City Of Life” team continued with the great distribution of supermarket shopping coupons for the attendees so that they can thus provide themselves with the necessary food for the traditional “Seder” of Passover, the first night where the families gather to have dinner and remember the Bible story together, as well as make sure that they do not lack food during the entire week of Passover celebration in these hard times that they have to experience.
Grateful faces could be seen in the grandparents who also received the special Passover gift, a box of “matzot”, the biblical unleavened bread characteristic of these Pesach or Passover festivities, as well as a bottle of special wine, sweet as the sweetness of freedom.
These last ingredients are essential for every Jew in these celebrations and for those of us who believe in our Messiah Yeshua they take on an even more special meaning by reminding us of his last supper with his disciples where he instituted that with bread and wine we remember his death and sacrifice on the cross for our salvation from generation to generation.

These elders returned to their homes with relief and consolation in their hearts for the time they enjoyed, the love that was given to them, the music that fed their souls and brought them peace and so also for the blessing of knowing that they did not go hungry during Passover, thanking us and asking us not to give up and continue to bring hope with our ministry to the most vulnerable in Sderot.
We are fully convinced that our actions demonstrate the Holy Spirit and impact the lives of the people we help and offer our love, bringing them closer to the Lord.
You can be part of and impact the lives of more people who need help in our city and together show them the way, the truth and the life.
We invite you to be part of our ministry so that together we can bring hope to our border town of Sderot.
Our work would not be possible without the help of partners like you, that is why we ask you to consider in prayer the possibility of a monthly commitment that will allow us to continue with the Lord’s work here in Israel.

Sincerely yours
Pastors
