In an exclusive interview, Pastors Randy and Hope Burt from New Life Church in Florida speak openly about what is happening in America, the rise of antisemitism, the misconceptions about Israel, and the challenges facing the church today.
Many Christians are completely misunderstanding Israel and the realities of the world, and this misunderstanding is fueling confusion, false narratives, and even growing antisemitism. Since October 7, antisemitism in the United States has dramatically increased, with universities and social media playing a major role in spreading misinformation, and protests in support of Palestine often escalating tensions and incidents of violence against Jewish communities. Most people have no idea about the human reality on the ground in Israel, assuming that everyone is a soldier while ignoring millions of innocent civilians caught in the conflict, and this widespread ignorance is amplified by selective reporting in the media.
This distorted view is reinforced in many church communities, where false teachings such as replacement theology are becoming more common, causing believers to lose sight of the biblical truth and their responsibility to understand Israel correctly. Christianity’s roots are deeply Jewish, yet many believers overlook that Jesus and the first Christians were Jewish, which leads to misunderstandings of the Scriptures, the life of Jesus, and the prophetic significance of Israel today. Without this knowledge, false narratives easily take hold and influence hearts and minds.

Israel makes extraordinary efforts to protect civilian life, often warning civilians before attacks, while its enemies use violence without regard for innocent lives, and the reality is that Israel’s very existence depends on its right to defend itself. Understanding these facts challenges the false assumptions many people have and calls believers to stand with clarity, wisdom, and prayer rather than being swayed by the media or popular opinion.
Seeing Israel firsthand changes everything. Experiencing the coexistence of Jewish and Arab communities, witnessing the vibrant multicultural reality, and understanding the complexities of daily life confronts misconceptions and deepens one’s perspective, while also revealing the spiritual and prophetic significance of the land as described in the Bible.

It is urgent for Christians to reconnect with the Jewish roots of their faith, to acknowledge the truth about Israel, and to resist the lies and distortions spread by biased institutions and narratives. Spiritual clarity requires grounding in Scripture and a willingness to confront uncomfortable truths, rather than simply following public opinion or social media trends.
Understanding Israel is not just about politics or news it is a spiritual responsibility. Believers are called to love, pray for, and support the Jewish people, to celebrate their traditions, and to recognize their unique role in God’s plan, and doing so strengthens faith, fosters discernment, and positions the church to stand on truth in a world full of deception.
