In Sderot, many elderly residents and families continue to live with the weight of fear and uncertainty, as years of conflict have left not only physical damage but also emotional scars that are harder to heal. For the elderly especially, loneliness and anxiety have become part of everyday life, and even something as simple as celebrating a holiday can feel heavy when memories of past alarms and attacks still echo in their minds.
This Sukkot, City of Life Ministries wanted to bring light into that darkness, so we organized a special concert filled with music, warmth, and togetherness, a moment where joy could rise above fear and where hearts could finally breathe again. As songs filled the air, faces began to brighten, smiles returned, and laughter filled the room, reminding everyone that life still beats strong in the city of Sderot.
Along with the concert, we distributed supermarket vouchers to help families and elderly residents celebrate the Feast of Sukkot with peace of mind and food on their tables, and it was moving to see how such simple gestures, a song, a hug, a voucher, could bring such deep comfort and remind people that they are not forgotten. God’s love continues to reach them through these acts of kindness, and every note played, every smile shared, became a testimony of His care for His people.
Even in a city marked by hardship and pain, hope is still alive, and nights like this one show that when we respond to God’s call to bless His people, His light shines through us, touching hearts and restoring joy where fear once lived.

We believe this is just the beginning. Together, we can continue bringing comfort, joy, and hope to the people of Sderot, reminding them that they are not alone and that God has not forgotten them.
Join us in this calling, let’s keep shining His light in the south of Israel, blessing families and restoring hearts through love, music, and acts of kindness.
