The last war with Hamas in which more than 4,300 missiles were fired at the civilian population of Israel, many of them managing to evade the anti-missile system “iron dome”, caused great damage to the economy of Sderot (already hit by the pandemic) , a city that has suffered the consequences of terrorism for years due to its proximity to the Gaza Strip and many families saw their situation dramatically worsen.
Our team from the Messianic Congregation and developed social outreach “City Of Life” keeps in full contact with the neediest families in order to support them financially and emotionally, and this is how we were able to perceive that, at the end of the war, all the help offered was insufficient to cover the need of the population, many of them with a lack of hope for a better future.

Immediately after the war and evaluating the needs of the population we planned a major special distribution of fresh food of all kinds aimed at those families with an imminent need, including fruits, vegetables and quality food for a balanced diet. Also we include the so precious toilet paper as it is a daily basic need.
The distribution was attended by many families in need who received our bags with joy and showed us their sincere gratitude to know that they can count on our support in this difficult time that we are going through.

However, many other people, especially the elderly, did not have the possibility to come to us to collect the food, so our ministry team carried out a distribution through the homes of the people with our means of transportation, bringing them hope and relief, in addition to rejoicing them with our visit and words of encouragement, reflecting the love of the Messiah for their lives.

At the end of the day we and our team feel satisfied that we have blessed so many lives in need in our city and that we have shone the light of the Kingdom in every action. You can be part of our next food distribution and thus bless together so many families who depend on our help in these difficult times, partner with us and let’s feed the poor together!

We invite you to be part of our ministry so that together we can bring hope to our border town of Sderot.
Our work would not be possible without the help of partners like you, that is why we ask you to consider in prayer the possibility of a monthly commitment that will allow us to continue with the Lord’s work here in Israel.

Sincerely yours
Pastors
