Our hearts overflow with satisfaction knowing that we fulfill the purpose that the Lord appointed us here in Israel to bring relief and hope to so many people who suffer day by day the consequences of living in a hostile environment, such as the border region to the strip from Gaza, because of Islamic terrorism emanating from it.
Even more when seeing the elderly of the local elderly club smile, enjoy and dance in this special Purim concert that our “City Of Life” ministry organized exclusively so that they can have a time of relaxation and celebration forgetting like this of the hard life they lead and the traumatic situation of terrorism they experience and still feeling the negative effect that the pandemic left on their mental health.
Purim is undoubtedly one of the happiest holidays for the Jewish people, not only for children who celebrate with costumes and sweets the victory of Queen Esther and her uncle Mordecai who, thanks to their courage, saved the Jewish people living in Persia from being exterminated at the request of the evil Haman as the book of Esther tells us, but also the adults rejoice and take part in this important celebration.

For more than 2 hours, the enthusiastic grandparents were able to listen to classical melodies performed as a duet by professional violinists who, with an extensive catalog of favorite songs, made the spectators laugh and cry with emotion, who at the end applauded and thanked for having been part of such a beautiful event.
After all, the celebration of Purim is about that, joy and triumph in the face of evil and the extermination desired by our enemies and our ministry understands the importance of providing support to the elderly who are more sensitive to adversity and feel are most affected by the current situation.
Of course there were many of the famous “Haman ears”, traditional chocolate-filled cookies shaped like an ear and have been an important part of the Purim celebration for generations.

We are fully convinced that our actions demonstrate the Holy Spirit and impact the lives of the people we help and offer our love, bringing them closer to the Lord.
You can be part of and impact the lives of more people who need help in our city and together show them the way, the truth and the life.
We invite you to be part of our ministry so that together we can bring hope to our border town of Sderot.
Our work would not be possible without the help of partners like you, that is why we ask you to consider in prayer the possibility of a monthly commitment that will allow us to continue with the Lord’s work here in Israel.

Sincerely yours
Pastors
