As we approach International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we take a moment to remember the six million Jews who perished at the hands of the Nazis during World War II. We honor those who survived, reflect on their resilience, and recommit to ensuring that such a terrible tragedy is never repeated.
This year, this day holds special significance as we witness the alarming rise of antisemitism in many parts of the world, fueled by lies and misinformation about Israel and the war it is currently facing.

Here in Sderot, we reaffirm our commitment to supporting Holocaust survivors. We are deeply moved by their courage and determination, which enabled them to survive unimaginable horrors and continue to inspire us today.
Shmuel and Bronia: A Story of Resilience and Hope

Today, we share the stories of Holocaust survivors Shmuel and Bronia, who endured unimaginable horrors in the ghettos of Ukraine but miraculously survived.
Shmuel was just a child when he and his family were forced into a ghetto, enduring starvation, freezing winters, and constant fear. Bronia, growing up in another part of Ukraine, faced similar horrors, as her family was also forced into a ghetto where they struggled to survive. Many Jewish families perished in these ghettos, but miraculously, both Shmuel’s and Bronia’s families survived against all odds.
Years later, Shmuel and Bronia met, married, and began a life together, carrying in their hearts the pain of their childhoods and the memories of loved ones lost.
The testimony of Shmuel and Bronia is a powerful reminder of the importance of memory and of the responsibility we all share to build a better future.
You can be part of and impact the lives of more people who need help in our city and together show them the way, the truth and the life.
We invite you to be part of our ministry so that together we can bring hope to our border town of Sderot.
Our work would not be possible without the help of partners like you, so we ask you to consider in prayer the possibility of a monthly commitment that will allow us to continue with the Lord’s work here in Israel.

Sincerely yours
